Harry Styles Offered Movie Role By Harvey Weinstein
Harry Styles is a famous boy bander, a fashion icon and... an up-and-coming movie star? He will be if media bigwig Harvey Weinstein has his way!
The film producer revealed to the Daily Mail that he offered the One Direction member a role in 'Tulip Fever,' a period film about an artist who falls for a married woman after he's been hired to paint her portrait. Sadly, we won't be seeing Harry on the big screen -- at least not in 2015.
"I offered Harry a role in 'Tulip Fever' but he was touring so he had to turn it down," Weinstein told the publication.
The part ended up going to 'Glee' star Matthew Morrison, who got to share a steamy scene with one of Harry's own friends.
"The very first scene he shot was one of him kissing Cara Delevingne," Weinstein said. He jokingly added, "So I'm sure Harry won't be turning be down the next role I offer him."
The next role, eh? It seems like the film exec isn't ready to let go of Harry's budding acting career just yet. But why is he so attached to the singer?
"He's like Errol Flynn, he's got that swashbuckling charm," Weinstein gushed. "Definite star potential. I think he'd be great. No question."
Well, he's not wrong there -- Harry is pretty great!
