A Run of Bad Luck
You are probably wondering why any G.D. Ritzy's would be forced to turn off the grills and close for good. The Huntington, West Virginia location has had some unfortunate circumstances since 2019. Owner Jason Webb says that COVID-19, rising food costs, embezzlement, and road construction detouring customers all contributed to the closure of his G.D. Ritzy's.

G.D. Ritzy's Locally Owned
As soon as I heard about a G.D. Ritzy's location closing, I reached out to Chad Grunow Owner/Operator of the Evansville G.D. Ritzy's locations, to make sure our precious cheeseburgers were safe.
Will the closing of the West Virginia G.D. Ritzy's location affect our Indiana or Kentucky locations?
The 5 of us that are left now, 3 in Evansville and 2 in Owensboro, are independently owned and operated as was this one in WV. All I can say is that I know this won’t affect my stores. We have no plans to close and speaking with the owner in Owensboro he echoes the same thing about no plans to close or this affecting him.
We want to reassure the public that our G.D. Ritzy's are not going anywhere!
Most definitely! We are locally owned and operated like always. In December will be our 40th birthday at G.D. Ritzy’s and we plan to keep on going well after that!
