Everything You Need to Know About the 2017 Billboard Music Awards
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards are less than a week away and Taste of Country has gathered all the information you need to get ready for the big night of awards and collaborations. While the awards show is a who's-who in the music industry with artists from every genre being recognized, the country genre is well represented as both nominees and performers.
Be on the lookout for performances from Sam Hunt and Florida Georgia Line and cameos from many other country acts. Below is all the information you need to know!
The Venue
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The Date and Time
The Billboard Music Awards are set to broadcast live on Sunday, May 21 on ABC at 8PM ET.
The Red Carpet
Red carpet coverage of the Billboard Music Awards will live stream exclusively on Twitter @BBMAs. Chris Daughtry, Jessie James Decker, AJ Gibson, Jeannie Mai, Laura Marano and Sirius XM’s Sway Calloway will host T-Mobile Magenta Carpet Live at the BBMAs.
The Hosts
Vanessa Hudgens and Ludacris will serve as hosts of the 2017 awards show. This year marks Ludacris' fourth straight year as co-host, while Hudgens will replace last year's co-host, Ciara.
The Nominees
Florida Georgia Line lead the country categories with six nods at the awards show. The duo have been recognized in the all-genre Top Duo/Group category alongside collaborators the Chainsmokers, Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses and Twenty One Pilots. They’ve also been listed in the Top Country Artist category alongside Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton and Jason Aldean.
Additionally, Luke Bryan is nominated for the Billboard Chart Achievement Award, while Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line and Chris Young are recognized for their collaborations within the country genre. For a complete list of country nominees, visit Taste of Country.

The Winners
The winners will be announced live on ABC on Sunday (May 21).
The Performers
Country music is well represented in the form of performances throughout the evening as Sam Hunt is set to take the stage to sing his chart-topping single "Body Like a Back Road." Additionally, Florida Georgia Line will team up with John Legend to perform their previous hit single, "H.O.L.Y." Celine Dion, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, the Chainsmokers, Halsey, Miley Cyrus and Lorde have also been booked as performers.
