Evansville Museum to Debut Limited Run Solar Eclipse Exhibition
The solar eclipse is just a few weeks away, however the Evansville Museum of Arts and Sciences are getting a jump on the rare occurrence with a limited run exhibit beginning July 27th. No special glasses required!
The exhibit, appropriately titled, "Eclipse 2017: The Exhibition," will run through September 30th, and will feature "scale models, illustrated graphics and interactive exhibits" to educate visitors on the phenomenon that is set to take place August 21st across the United States.
Other features included in the exhibit, according to a press release provided by the Museum, include "a short video presentation on viewing the eclipse, items you can make to safely view the sun, eclipse photographs and a brief history of solar eclipses."
The Museum plans to officially launch the feature with a Member Reception Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free for both current Museum members, and, as they call them, "Not - Yet Members." Snacks and a cash bar will be provided.
