Drake and Lil Wayne Perform “Energy” at 2017 Art Basel in Miami
Miami is lit this weekend, as the 2017 Art Basel takes over the city. Last night (Dec. 8), Lil Wayne and Drake had the E11EVEN night club cranked up to the max.
Weezy was on the bill for the Bootsy Bellows pop-up show event, reports TMZ. Drake, who was in attendance, decided to hop on stage and make it a Young Money/OVO thing, performing his banger, "Energy," with help from Wayne. The packed crowd was turnt, including Drizzy's best bud, Odell Beckham Jr., who was spotted in the sea of humanity. After Aubrey's impromptu performance, Wayne continued to command the stage, running through a number of his hits.
After teasing and teasing the project, Tune recently revealed the release date for his long-awaited mixtape, Dedication 6, with DJ Drama. "It's time!" he tweeted. "Sign up for updates and music before drop date! To My fans, I do this for y'all! #D6 MERRY CHRISTMAS."
Wayne has had a quiet year, with his only 2017 solo offering being the In Tune We Trust EP, a four-song project that dropped in July. He has constantly maintained his highly-anticipated Tha Carter V will be dropping soon. Back in August, he said he could put out the project at any moment, but we haven't gotten any signs the album will be dropping in the close future.
Drake is currently working on the follow up to More Life, and recently tapped producer Pi'erre Bourne for the project.
