Drake Appears to Diss Kanye West While Performing “Know Yourself” in Chicago
Following some delays, Drake and Migos' Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour is on and popping. The show made its way to Chicago on Saturday night (Aug. 18), where Drizzy appeared to lick a shot at Kanye West during his set.
The shot in question came when Aubrey was performing his If You're Reading This It's Too Late fan-favorite, "Know Yourself." Instead of rapping the official lines of "Had a job sellin' Girbaud jeans/I had a yellow TechnoMarine/Then Kanye dropped, it was polos and backpacks," the 6 God appears to alter the words to "then Kanye flopped."
When Drake spits the altered line, some in the crowd display their displeasure with audible boos but the Canadian rap star continues on.
Tension between Drake and Kanye has been high following the release of Pusha-T's epic diss "The Story of Adidon," leaving many to believe King Push sourced some of the information for his clack back from none other than Kanye West. J. Prince, who had a hand in deading the beef, revealed in an interview that Drake had some scathing bars for Yeezy had he been able to let the response go.
Drake has since seemed to send subliminal shots 'Ye's way on his "Behind Barz Freestyle" where he raps, “I got way too big off Views, back to the basics, I won’t lose/They wanna link when they got no chunes/They too worried bout selling out shoes.”
