Love dogs, but can't adopt for whatever reason? The Vanderburgh Humane Society is giving you a chance to get your puppy-lovin' fix by taking one of their many dogs on a day date!

"Mutt's Morning Out" is available every Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until Noon and allows you to "spring a shelter dog from its kennel" for a little while and enjoy a little human-therapy outside the shelter whether that's simply going for a car ride, taking a walk around a park, or doing some shopping (where animals are allowed, of course). A one-time registration is required, and you'll need to provide a photo ID.

According to the VHS website, the "program is designed specifically for medium & large high-energy dogs" although small dogs may be available on occasion.

For more information and to download the registration form, visit the VHS website.
