On Sunday (June 30), Taylor Swift published an impassioned and frustrated letter about Scooter Braun's purchase of her former record label, Big Machine, and how the famous artist manager (Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber) now retains the rights to all six of her previous albums.

Celebrities reacted not only to the drama between Swift and Braun, but the fact that she as an artist, songwriter and producer no longer has the rights to her previous and highly successful first six studio albums.

Halsey penned an entire letter to Swift about how she has influenced her as a musician, urging that all artists should own their own work. Alessia Cara posted an Instagram story that simply read: “hey!!!!! stop stealing from women who work hard!!!” She also liked tweets of fans showing support for Swift.

Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey, wished she could give Swift a "big hug right now," and even asked Braun's wife Yael for a "mom to mom meeting."

YouTube personality and artist Todrick Hall, who was previously signed to Braun as an artist, tweeted, “I know from his own mouth that he is not a Swift fan," calling Braun "evil" and "homophobic."

Though nearly all of the reactions from other artists and celebrities have been positive, Justin Bieber wrote an Instagram post that defended his longtime manager.

Swift's friend, model and actress Cara Delevingne, defended Swift in a comment on Bieber's Instagram post. She began the post by questioning whether Bieber truly was a "gentleman," the term his wife (also a model) Hailey Bieber commented on the same post.

"I wish you spent less time sticking up for men and more time trying to understand women and respecting their valid reactions," Cara wrote. "As a married man, you should be lifting women up instead of tearing them down because you are threatened. Not sure you understand what an apology is. This issue that Taylor is talking about is far more than a picture and you know that. As you said, you haven't talked to her in years which means you definitely don't understand the situation. I do. Take a step back and try and learn from this. We should all be on the same team. End of story."

Braun's wife, Yael, also posted an Instagram letter directed at Swift. Yael called Swift's letter a "temper tantrum" and claimed that she knew about Braun's business deal before the media released it.
