Shortly after being named the best marching band in the Tri-State, the Castle Marching Knights won the class 3A National Championship for the first time in school history. The Marching Knights battled against 100 other incredibly talented high school marching bands in the Bands of America Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on November 9-11.

After the first day of the competition, Castle was named one of the top 30 bands that advanced into the next day's Semi-Final competition. The Marching Knights wowed the judges Saturday with an inspirational performance. Later that afternoon, they learned they had made history on behalf of their school.

Castle dominated three judging categories with the top scores in Music, Visual presentation, and overall General Effect. Their total score of 92.625 was an impressive improvement over their Grand National Championship final score from last year.

We all knew the Castle Marching Knights were the best band in the Tri-State, but now we can say they're the best marching band in the NATION! Way to go, Marching Knights!
