Burger King just became the first local fast food chain to introduce the Impossible Burger to their menu.

Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or just prefer plant-based foods for other reasons, you've more than likely heard of the infamous "Impossible Burger". The burger supposedly tastes exactly like a real meat patty, but it's not. It's actually a veggie burger that is tweaked and seasoned to taste just like real meat.

Well, Burger King just added the impossible burger to their menu, and of course people are losing their minds. Tons of people have reported not believing they actually received the right burger after taking a bite of the impossible because it tastes that much like an actual burger. After all the fuss, we decided we had to put Rob to the test. Rob is a burger enthusiast, and also has a wife that happens to be vegetarian.

Full disclosure: Rob has tried the impossible burger at other restaurants before, such as Bru Burger and Bar Louie.

First, let's take a look at the two burgers side-by-side:

They literally look identical...and I know twins when I see them. I'm engaged to a twin. Consider me an expert in this category.

Now, let's take a closer look.

This is the Impossible Burger.

As you can see, they look almost identical. The only difference I noticed was that the impossible burger had a slightly red tint to the patty, but I've seen that on real meat too.

Now let's see if I can stump Rob when it comes to the taste test.
Side note: Rob left briefly between takes so I could unwrap the burgers, so he doesn't know which is which.

So, in summary, we couldn't really stump Rob. But, he did say it tasted the same, it was just the texture that gave it away.

Also, I will mention that when we ordered the impossible burger, we had the option to have it grilled - which is grilled on the same surface as regular meat - or made in the microwave.
