Here at WBKR, we have exciting news to share today.  Local singer/songwriter Andy Brasher and his fiance, Tamarra Miller, are embarking on a brand new venture here in Owensboro.  The couple, who are the creators and organizers of the annual PorchFest OBKY, have announced they are opening a brand new live music venue in downtown Owensboro.

The venue will be called Brasher's Little Nashville and will be located at 123 West 2nd Street in downtown Owensboro.  The goal is to marry a "big city" concert experience with a hometown bar feel.  Brasher's Little Nashville will be open Thursdays through Sundays and feature world class live bands every weekend.  Plus, there will be open mic nights, featured solo artists on Thursdays and live entertainment each Sunday with Song Sunday Brunches and Bloody Marys.  T'hat particular weekly feature is inspired by Andy's own YouTube series called Song Sunday, which features a new video performance each week.

Brasher's Little Nashville promises country music as well as rock, blues, bluegrass and more.  And, in true "concert" fashion, Brasher's will have a bar fully stocked with beer, spirits, hand-crafted cocktails and, of course, a huge selection of bourbons!

The grand opening for Brasher's Little Nashville is Spring of 2021.  For more information about the venue (which will be available for rentals as well), visit brasherslittlenashville.com.  And you're invited and encouraged to follow Brasher's Little Nashville on Facebook, Instagram and additional social media sites.

Brasher's is also in the process of hiring for a variety of positions; bartenders, wait staff, security, sound engineers and more.  If you are interested in seeking employment at the venue, you are asked to call 270-702-6003 or email tamarramiller80@gmail.com.

This morning, Tamarra and Andy joined us on the WBKR morning show to discuss their exciting new venture and what the future of Brasher's Little Nashville holds!
