Dahni Jo was 5 years old when her life was tragically cut short.  She was a light in the Evansville area, who had a passion for helping animals.  Dahni was seen at many fundraising events with local rescues sharing her love for animals.  A scholarship fund has now been set up in her name, but the Dahni Jo Memorial Scholarship Fund needs to community's help in raising funds to help students in the future.

This Saturday & Sunday June 13th & 14th, The Oink will be out smoking meat where all proceeds will go directly to the Dahni Jo Memorial Scholarship Fund. They will be at the Flea Market at Diamond and Fares from 10A-2P both days.  The Oink will be selling butts for $30 and ribs for $25.  There will also be sandwiches for sale as well.  While there you can check out the plant sale, along with shirts, water bottles, and decals.  All the money will go to Dahni Jo's Memorial Scholarship Fund. If you aren't able to make it out this weekend, please consider making a tax deductible donation, here.  Just be sure to click the dropdown and select "Dahni Jo Memorial Scholarship Fund."

There has been a great campaign on social media reminding people to #BeLikeDahni where many in the rescue community are sharing photos of Dahni volunteering, and photos of them helping out in Dahni's name.  It's been great to see the community come together after this tragic loss to raise up Dahni's name and do good in her honor.

Follow along with the Dahni Jo Memorial Scholarship Facebook page to keep up to date with fundraising events. #BeLikeDahni
