Angel here and I can sniff out a bargain like a bloodhound.  We've searched Owensboro over and found five places to shop to get your wardrobe summer ready for under $5, $10, and $15.

OWENSBORO BLESSED WITH BARGAINS

Owensboro is fortunate enough to have a plethora of thrift/consignment shops sprinkled all over the city.  Some people have the mindset that if it's secondhand it has to be worn out or not fit to be purchased and this could not be further from the truth.

THRIFT SAVVY

Angel here and I have told you all before I grew up with a single momma and we didn't have a whole lot of extra money to spend on new clothing.  Momma taught me the value of a dollar and how to stretch it until George Washington's eyes popped out.  I could buy 10 outfits for $10.  I decided I would provide the same service to all of you and show you where in town you could purchase outfits for super low prices and even put a few together from each store.

WHERE WE VISITED

The Clothesline-1737 Scherm Road/Open Saturday 9-5    M-F 9-5 p.m.  You can find anything from clothing to housewares and designer purses.

New Life Thrift Store/New Life Thrity Dollar-1920 W. 4th Street/Open Saturday 9-3  Tues-Friday 9-5.  They are community-driven and thrive strictly off the donations of individuals all over Owensboro.  They make sure that the money raised from the store goes back into the community.  They opened the Thrifty Dollar a few years ago and all the clothing is just $1.

Common Goods Community Store-2818 New Hartford Road Entrance D/Tues & Thurs.9-Noon.  Located inside Owensboro Christian Church is run by volunteers from the community and they are also run on donations.  You can find furniture, clothing, housewares, stationery, and more.  They run $5 bag sales a few times a year and a half off clothing quite often.

A Repeat Boutique-1359 E. 4th Street/Open 10-4 Saturday/Tuesday-Friday 10-4.  You can find so many deals in the old Teacher's Aide building.  There is always something different each time you go.  Tracy, the owner does dollar days and you can find tons of good deals.

Robin's Resale & Boutique-2416 New Hartford Road/Open Saturday 10-4/M-F 9-5 p.m.  Maria is always slashing prices.  She has racks full of deals at any given time and the color chart is my favorite.  You can sometimes buy clothing for under $1.
