If you've been to the AMC Evansville 16 on the west side, you might be thinking that it's time for a remodel. If that's the case, you are in for a treat!

According to 14NEWS, a big remodel is in the works. Former building commissioner Roger Lehman is working as a code consultant on the project and hopes to have all permits and codes in place by April 1.  Also, there are plans to serve alcohol (much like Showplace Cinemas Royale Suite), and replace all the seating with reclining seats. According to Lehman, this would cut the total number of seats from 3,000 to 1,000. I'm a fan of them getting recliners as the current seats are showing their age.

I'm really excited about the remodel but I am concerned about how losing half of the theaters will affect the summer movie season. Also I wonder if this is going to make the ticket prices go back up. I like going to AMC because of the pricing. Overall, though, I am super excited about the renovations!
