Have you ever dreamed of visiting one of those beautiful towns in the Hallmark Christmas movies?  We found 7 Kentucky & Indiana small towns that fit the bill.

When the holidays arrive I always prepare to watch all the Hallmark Christmas movies I can.  I love seeing all the beautiful scenes and have always wanted to live in one of these places.  All the quaint shops and friendly townspeople.

BARDSTOWN, KENTUCKY-If you're a bourbon lover then Bardstown is the place for you.  Home to My Old Kentucky Home and so many iconic Kentucky sights.  Known as the most beautiful small town in America.  You can even hop aboard the My Old Kentucky Home Dinner Train and enjoy the scenic ride on the rails or take the kids on the Santa or North Pole Express.

GRAND RIVERS, KENTUCKY-Imagine a small town decorated with over two million likes.  Grand Rivers is one of the most welcoming and beautiful tiny towns in Kentucky. Home to the Famous Patti's 1880 Settlement. Enjoy Victorian Christmas Carriage Rides, Breakfast With The Grinch, a show at the Badgett Playhouse, a stay at The Rose B & B, and a stroll on the lake.

BEAVER DAM/HARTFORD, KENTUCKY- Beaver Dam and Hartford both have their original downtown areas with shops and diners. The old-fashioned decorations and slow-paced lifestyle make it desirable to visit. Make sure to stop in Soreheads for a Southern Pecan Pimento Cheese Sandwich in Beaver Dam and the Shoe Shop in Hartford!

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KENTUCKY-Both tourism groups do an excellent job of decorating their downtown areas. The shops host Christmas open houses. Make sure to enjoy a night at Stellian's or do some window shopping in Greenville. Once you visit you won't want to leave.  Make sure to take the Tinsel Tour of Lights through Greenville.

The Newburgh Winterlights Event is gorgeous in December as well.

SANTA CLAUS, INDIANA-Deemed as America's Christmas Town. It is Christmas all year long. While the town isn't huge the Christmas spirit is gigantic. HUNTINGBURG, INDIANA-Our family discovered this gem of a town when we took a drive one day to eat pizza at Gaslight Pizza.
