As we experience another day of snow, chances are you are stuck inside for the umpteenth day in a row. To make things more manageable, here are some movies that you should check out that are perfect (and sometimes creepy) snow day viewing!

1. The Empire Strikes Back

Yes, you've seen this movie probably a billion times (unless you are The Rob and insist Star Wars isn't for you), but there is just something fun about watching this movie while there is snow outside. Who doesn't want to watch Luke and Han fight the Wampa on Hoth while outside looks like Hoth? Watch this one and don't regret it.

2. 30 Days of Night

This vampire movie based on the graphic novel of the same name is sure to make for a scary snow day. The concept of the movie is simple: In Alaska, certain towns go dark for an entire month, which makes it the perfect spot for vampires to attack. For maximum creepiness, make sure you watch this on a snowy night.

3: Snow Day

This Nickelodeon movie starring a young(er) Josh Peck is pretty terrible, but it's the kind of terrible that's watchable. It's about a group of kids all enjoying a snow day. There's a teenage love story because of course there is. Oh, and a group of kids basically attempt to murder a snow plow operator just so they can get a second snow day.

4: The Thing

I'm of course referring to the 1982 classic and not the terrible, terrible 2011 remake. Follow Kurt Russell to an isolated research facility in the Antarctic. They are invaded by a parasite that can disguise itself as people. It becomes a claustrophobic nightmare as you try to figure out who is real and who isn't. Oh, and it has some of the grossest practical gore effects of all time.

5. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
