Evansville has had its share of people go on to become famous, many in the world of sports (for example, Don Mattingly), but there are others that have found fame at some point in their lives you may not realize have their roots right here in Southern Indiana.

Some of the following five faces may look familiar to you in that, "I've-seen-him (or her)-before-but-don't-know-their-name" kind of way, and their level of fame my vary depending on your opinion, but all were born right here in Evansville.

A.J. Alexander - Playboy's Miss May 2008

Her eyes are glowing!! Is she possessed?

Posted by Michael W Sanders on Friday, October 30, 2009

Born Amanda Jane Herrmann, the beautiful A.J. (pictured from a 2009 in studio interview on our sister-station, 103GBF) graduated from Harrison High School before attending USI. She went west to California after college to pursue a modeling career and rose to fame when she was selected as Playboy's Miss May back in 2008. That appearance led to a role in the 2011 movie The Pool Boys. Since then A.J. seems to have retreated into a normal life. Finding info on what she's up to these days is difficult, but from what I've been able to gather, she's now mother of two, splitting her time between Evansville and California.
