The Vans Warped Tour is a right of passage for punk rock kids everywhere. Next Tuesday, the show is making a stop outside of Indianapolis. While everyone is planning on seeing some cool acts such as New Found Glory, Sum 41, Yellowcard, and Good Charlotte, you should also check out the following 3 bands that aren't as mainstream but still awesome!

Set It Off - Journey's Left Foot Stage

Set It Off are a band I got into by accident. I was looking for punk rock Christmas songs and their song "This Christmas (I'll Burn It To the Ground)" came up. I liked what I heard so I looked up some of their other stuff. I definitely recommend checking them out as "Why Worry" (the song posted above), is an anthem we can all relate to.

Sleeping with Sirens - Journey's Right Foot Stage

I got into Sleeping with Sirens after a friend of mine was always playing them on her Pandora station. While they may be too emo for some, I think they blend higher-pitch vocals with semi-hard instrumentals quite well. Also, if you go to Warped Tour and didn't see at least one band with an androgynous lead-singer, did you even go to Warped Tour?

Tonight Alive - Journey's Right Foot Stage

Tonight Alive hail from Australia and are a favorite among the DJ's who work here (Kat's daughter is kind of the ambassador for getting everyone into this band). Comparisons to other female-fronted bans are inevitable, but Tonight Alive brings their own flair to the table. Don't write them off as a Paramore or Avril Lavigne clone or you'll miss out on a great show!

The Van's Warped Tour stops in Noblesville next Tuesday. Tune-in to the Rob's Radio Show w/ Kat Mykals and midday's with Gavin this week for your chance to win tickets!
