If you're a fan of art or know someone who is, the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and its Downtown Committee have an event just for you.

13th Annual Henderson Art Hop Set for Friday, November 4th

No matter what type of art you prefer, there's a good chance there will be an artist somewhere in downtown Henderson who has created it as the event will feature over 30 Tri-State artists displaying everything from paintings to sculptures to woodworking pieces.

All the pieces, and the artists who created them, will be displayed in 16 "pop-up" galleries around downtown Henderson giving you the opportunity to "hop*" (hence the name "Art Hop," see what they did there?) to each one to see what's on display.

*You don't have to physically hop between each one. Walking is perfectly acceptable. I'm assuming you knew that, but you know what they say about making assumptions.

Not only will the event feature a number of pieces on display, but many of them will also be for sale. So, if there's a blank space on your wall that could use a little color, or you have an empty corner that would look great filled by a small statue, chances are you'll find something you like at the event.

Maybe you have neither of those needs, but you know someone who does or is just a fan of art in general. With the holidays quickly approaching, this would be a great opportunity to snag something for that art lover on your Christmas list.

The event is open to the public and free to attend. In addition to displaying their art, some of the galleries may also be serving complimentary food and beverages for you to enjoy while you take a look around.

If you'd like more information about the Art Hop, contact the Henderson Chamber office at (270) 826-7505 or email Clay Gillham at clay@hendersonkychamber.com.
