15 Times Peyton Meownning Was Cooler Than My Dogs Could Ever Dream of Being

A few years ago, we decided to get my daughter her own pet. Out of all the pets available, a cat seemed to be the least amount of trouble. So, after an exhaustive search, we settled on the scroungy, impish feline we affectionately referred to as 'Ditch Kitty.' After a while, he got a name: Peyton Sunshine Meownning. (We are Colts fans.)

We are about three or four (who is counting) years into this relationship and to celebrate International Day of the Cat *yes I know I am so late* I wanted to show you why Peyton has proven himself a way better pet than my dogs could ever be. Don't get me wrong; my 16-yr-old chihuahua is LIFE. But there have been a few times Peytey has been the best pet you could ask for.

THE TIMES HE SNUGGLES UP REALLY CLOSE TO MY KID.

THE TIMES HE GIVES HIMSELF A BATH SO I DON'T HAVE TO.

THE TIME HE SAID, "PAINT ME LIKE ONE OF YOUR FRENCH GIRLS."

THE TIME HE KICKED THE DOGS OUT OF THEIR BEDS AND YELLED, "THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!"

THE TIME THIS DING-DONG WENT INTO FULL-ON FREAK OUT MODE AT THE VET AND HE WAS SUPER CHILL.

THE TIME HE WORE THIS TO APPEASE MY KID.

THE TIME HE PLAYED IN THE HAMPER WITH THE DOLLS TO APPEASE MY KID.

THE TIME HE DEALT WITH  ANNOYING SCREEN TIME TO APPEASE MY KID.

HE TIME HE WORE A ONESIE AND DRESSED UP FRIEDA TO APPEASE MY KID.

THE TIME HE GAVE ME THIS FACE WHEN HE WAS DONE DEALING WITH MY KID.

THE TIME HE TOOK SNOOZIE SUNDAY LITERALLY.

REALLY LITERALLY.

THE TIME HE LOOKED LIKE THIS WHEN HE SLEPT.

THE TIME(s) HE'S WAITED FOR HIS GIRL TO GET OFF THE BUS SO THEY COULD PLAY DRESS UP, AND DOLLS, AND WATCH SCREEN TIME.
