The Tri-State is prepping for the first round of wintry weather that's expected Monday night.

Meteorologist Ron Rhodes said we can expect 1-2 inches of snow Monday night. The day will start off with some rain, but as temperatures drop, that will change into snow. Overnight we can expect 1-2 inches of snow accumulating. According to Ron Rhodes, it won't cause too much of an issue on the roadways but should accumulate on the grass.

However, in any inclement weather it's important to allow yourself extra time and prepare. ISP Sgt. Todd Ringle offered some tips for drivers.
