Today apparently is SWEETEST DAY and until my wife called me on my way to work this morning and wished it to ME, I had no idea. Come to find out, only 11 state even recognize Sweetest Day and they're mostly Midwestern states.

It originally began in Cleveland, Ohio by the candy makers association in cahoots with the card makers in an effort to sell more cards and candy. Therefore, a lot of Cleveland and Midwest residents (mostly men) called it the "Hallmark Holiday". Sweetest day is "supposed" to fall on the 3rd Saturday in October, kind of how Easter Sunday bounces around.

I don't think NOT remembering Sweetest Day will land you in the dog house like forgetting Valentine's Day, but now that you know, maybe it'll will be a nice surprise if you come home with a token of your affection... ijs.
