It's out with the old, and in with the new as the last original ride from the days when Holiday World was known as Santa Claus Land has pulled into the depot one last time.

Matt Eckert, who has been at Holiday World and Splashin' Safari since 2000, was named as the new president of the iconic park in Santa Claus, Indiana. The park has been owned and operated by the Koch family since it opened on August 3, 1946 as Santa Claus Land and has grown to be one of the top amusement and waterparks in the country. New attractions include a new ride inside Splashin' Safari, along with more activities and shows after the sun goes down.

Last weekend I was able to take part in Holiday World's latest innovation, the Happy Halloween Weekend!  There are some cool new attractions designed specifically for the Halloween season!  The whole park has a playful Halloween motif!  Plus there are hayrides, a corn maze, and other seasonal attractions...

You could use any number of clichés to describe the demolition of Six Flags Over Texas' Texas Chute Out. All good things must come to an end. What goes up must come down. It's awesome when things go boom (OK, I just made that last one up).
