The relief effort to clean up the devastation left behind by Hurricane Sandy on Monday are well underway on the east coast. While many organizations responsible for getting the area back in order and providing aid to those affected are seeking volunteers to help distribute supplies and provide comfort to those who lost everything, there are a variety ways those of us here in the tri-state can help without leaving home.
The organization's fourth annual "Totes for Hope" campaign is accepting donations through Monday, November 5th.
They are certainly "Wild Ones" that don't give off a very "Good Feeling" (that's pun humor right there folks!).

If you're like me and my family, you're property managed to make it through last week's tornados largely unscathed. Our neighbors in Newburgh, New Harmony, Henderson, and Harrisburgh, IL were not as fortunate. If you'd like to help those in need as they put their lives together, the Southwestern Indiana Chapter of the American Red Cross has setup a few ways to make that happen.
In the aftermath of this morning's tornado, the Red Cross has done what the Red Cross does frankly, and made itself available to those affected by this mornings events and offered information to those of us who weren't affected but would like to help out our friends and neighbors in the Newburgh and Henderson areas.
We've heard stories over this first day of our radiothon from St. Jude patients that talk about "the bright colored walls", and how St. Jude isn't a scary place for them or their families. Back in January of last year, I had the opportunity to visit the St. Jude campus and see first hand not only the amazing things they're doing day in and day out to help put an end to childhood cancer and other diseases, but the decor itself these brave young people are talking about.
The 3rd annual 911 Gives Hope for the Holiday's Toy Drive with 911 Gives Hope and Henderson Chevrolet, Buick, GMC is in the books and thanks to you, we filled another 53 foot trailer full of toys for the kids who will spend the holidays in area hospitals.
