By now you have inevitably heard about the Griffin 100 - the roughly 100 dogs that were rescued in Posey County from a horrendous hoarding situation. These dogs were found living in deplorable conditions beyond most peoples comprehension. Luckily for the pups, people from all over the country have stepped up to help. Initially, PC Pound Puppies and Posey County Humane Society and countless other volunteers were tasked with the care of these animals, but as you can imagine, the resources to vet, house and care for these dogs, just wasn't there. The American Humane Association came in and set up an emergency shelter to aid in getting the dogs vetted, and ready for adoption and now North Shore Animal League has come to the tristate to pick up and transport 40 of these dogs back to their facility in New York where they will be cared for until they can be adopted out to their forever homes.  Check out some photos of the transport today.
