Mike Posner Bringing Pop-Rap Swagger to USI Springfest – [VIDEO]
The USI Springfest Committee and 106-1 KISS-FM are proud to present the one and only Mike Posner as the headliner of Springfest 2012 on Saturday, April 14th inside the PAC Arena on the USI campus. But who is Mike Posner?
Posner was born and raised in Southfield, Michigan before heading off to college at Duke University to study sociology and business. In between classes, the “Cooler Than Me” hitmaker spent his free time making catchy pop-rap tunes geared towards the college crowd compiling several mixtapes along the way. One of which, A Matter of Time, found itself atop the iTunesU chart in the summer of 2009. One year later, after graduating with a 3.59 GPA, released his debut album, 31 Minutes to Takeoff, on J Records which featured the aforementioned “Cooler Than Me” (video below), “Please Don’t Go”, and “Bow Chicka Wow Wow”. His new album, Sky High, featuring the hit single, “Looks Like Sex” is due in stores and online sometime this year (no release date has been set as of this writing).
