Alanis Morissette would never been the same after June of 1995 - that's when she released the album Jagged Little Pill. Soon she would go from a moderately successful Canadian pop singer, to an iconic female rock star with one of the most successful albums of all time. How successful, you ask? Pill has been certified 17x Platinum (that's 17 million copies) in the U.S. and has sold over 33 million copies around the world. It is the 16th best-selling album of all time in the U.S.

Knowing that, it's easy to understand why Alanis is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill. If it were me, I'd make a big deal when June rolls around every doggone year!

The seven-time GRAMMY winner is marking this special occasion by releasing a digital deluxe edition of Jagged Little Pill, featuring the original album along with a new acoustic live album recorded in March 2020. The music videos for the five singles from Pill are also being re-released in a remastered 4K resolution, starting with "Ironic."

To cap off the celebration, Alanis will treat fans to a FREE screening of Jagged Little Pill, Live on her YouTube channel this Sunday, June 28th at 11:30am. You'll get to see a chronicle of Alanis’ 1995-96 world tour, on-stage performances of every song from Jagged Little Pill.

I've gone on record before, and I'll do it again right now, and say that Jagged Little Pill is one of my all-time favorite albums - definitely top five, maybe even top three. Every song on it is amazing, and none of them need to be skipped - that's a rarity. I saw in concert up in Indy when she was touring with this album and it is still one of the best live shows I've ever seen. High praise indeed, and well deserved.
