Everyone remembers their first day of Kindergarten right?!  You think you're totally grown until you realize you have to go to school ALL. DAY. LONG!

BACK TO SCHOOL

This week was the first day back for Daviess County Public Schools and of course, there were the first day of pictures and one of the best videos we have ever seen.

Kindergarten can be quite exhausting.  You go from hanging out at a babysitter or daycare and taking naps and having snacks all day to having to actually pay attention and learn.  Nothing can really prepare you for that.

My friend, Laura Spencer Murphy, captured the most accurately hilarious video of her son Josiah after his first day of Kindergarten and it's a whole mood as she describes it.

Josiah began his long journey through elementary school yesterday.  He headed off to Whitesville Elementary School where his teacher Ms. Aldridge will be handling his daily affairs.  This sweet boy has aspirations of becoming a superhero one day.

Here's what Josiah's mom, Laura, had to say about Josiah;

Josiah was so excited to start Kindergarten at Whitesville Elementary School yesterday. He walked in with his big sister Lily like he was on top of the world. I admit I’ve babied him more than my other kids, because we stayed home together for a year and a half during COVID. He walked that red carpet when he entered the school like such a big boy that I couldn’t help but cry all the way out of school.

THE FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN GOT ME LIKE~

Josiah made it through his first day of school and into the house but that was about all he could handle.

Laura shares what happened next;

Josiah is full of energy and absolutely loves to eat so we were not surprised when he asked for pizza after school. I’m fact, he’s the same kid that can sniff bacon or steak from a mile away proclaiming “I smell meat,” and he packs beef jerky in his lunch box instead of fruit snacks.

Poor guy was so tired he couldn't even make through his afternoon snack.  I get it buddy I feel this way every single day.  I'm glad to know I'm not alone!

Hopefully, today was much better. Best of luck to all the kiddos returning to school.
