It's spring time which means it's also puppy season.  Many Tri-State rescues and shelters have many puppies in their care. While puppies are adorable (and who doesn't smile when they look at a puppy?) they are tiny growing dogs who can eat a lot of food. The Warrick Humane Society is currently in need of puppy food donations as well as kitten food donations.

Here's what they said in a Facebook post:

WHS fans, we need your help! We are on our last bag of puppy food. Can you help us by donating some? We use dry puppy food with no corn, wheat or soy. Suggested brands are Taste of the Wild, 4Health and Blue Buffalo. We are also in need of dry kitten food without dyes such as Purina Kitten Chow. Our puppies and kittens thank you!
If you'd like to help them out you can drop off a bag of food at Warrick Humane Society, they're located at 5722 S Vann Rd in Newburgh.  Their office hours are Tuesday-Sunday 12P-4P if you'd like to drop off a donation.  If you can't make it out there, but still want to help, you can make a monetary donation through their website, by clicking here.  Be sure to follow along on their Facebook page for any updates.
If you are in the market to add a furry family member to your home, please consider adopting through a local shelter/rescue.  Both of my dogs are rescues, and I have to say from personal experience, there is nothing sweeter than a rescue!
