Walgreens Looking to Boost Workforce by Nearly 10,000
As we all know, one of the side effects of the COVID-19 crisis has been the temporary shuttering of certain businesses in the interest of social distancing.
The subsequent fallout has been the laying off of workers FROM those businesses.
But ones that need to remain open are going to need to boost their workforce the longer we are in crisis.
Walgreens is one such business doing that.
The giant pharmacy chain announced it plans to add more than 9,500 employees to its workforce.
According to USA Today, Walgreens will be hiring to fill positions in customer service, pharmacy tech, and shift leads.
Hourly workers in stores and distribution centers will be getting bonuses.
