Twitter Reacts to the Selection of Pope Francis
In case you were in a coma on Thursday, the Catholic Church selected Argentinian Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio as the new Pope. Those that weren't in at the Vatican to welcome his new holiness, took to Twitter to voice their opinion.
Some people are already tired of hearing about it.
Some are trying to be buzzkills, and some are not having any part of it.
In due time good sirs, in due time.
Some don't seem to understand the role of the Pope.
Uh, what?
Some see the glass as half-empty.
Some were hoping the announcement would have happened at 4:20.
Some sports fans think there are more important things to be excited about.
While others think Tim Tebow may have found a team that will actually use him.
Finally, several think Pope Francis is someone we already know. Such as British comedian, Jim Bowen who hosted the popular English game show Bullseye during the late '80's through mid '90's.
Or maybe he's James Cromwell.
No, no, he's that guy you see in all kinds of movies, but you don't know his name.
Eh, it's a stretch, but maybe.
Or perhaps he's former Lebanese Minister, Michel Samaha, who is currently facing charges of involvement in terror plots against the people of Syria.
But I doubt it.
