The Rose Mansion from ‘Schitt’s Creek’ is For Sale – See Inside the $15 Million Estate
The hilarious, and wildly popular series Schitt's Creek begins in the beautiful mansion belonging to the Rose family, although they aren't there for long. I don't think I'm spoiling anything by revealing that the Rose family is booted from their mansion, and nearly all of their belongings are repossessed by the government - that's the whole plot of the show. The Rose family winds up moving to the small town of Schitt's Creek and living in the Rosebud Motel, where they spend the duration of the series.
The show doesn't spend a whole lot of time in the Rose mansion, aside from the occasional flashback/memory, and we really don't get to see much of it. In real life, it is a beautiful and massive residence - and now it is for sale. The home, known as La Belle Maison, is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and covers 24,000 square feet, featuring 12 bedrooms 16 bathrooms. You'll see from the gallery below that the upstairs/main floor features a more traditional, what I call 'fancy' type of decor - while certainly impressive, I'm not a big fan. The basement, however, really grabbed my attention with a much modern look and feel.
The mega-mansion is listed for just shy of $15 million. Does that seem high? Is it worth that much money? I don't know...but I do know that the home has some pretty sweet amenities - things like:
- home theater
- wine cellar
- billiard room
- fitness gym
- indoor & outdoor swimming pools
- sauna
- game room with a golf simulation system
