There are awards for everything in Hollywood except craft services (at least to my knowledge; if there are craft services awards please let me know, I’d love to attend and eat the food). That means there are trophies for movie trailers, which are honored each year by the Golden Trailer Awards...

We’ve already seen those awesome slow-mo shots of Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince charging through the war-torn battlefield in the Wonder Woman trailers. Her red and gold armour shines against the backdrop of the smoky blues and browns of the European battleground. But the moment where Diana finally sheds her Amazonian garb to unveil her iconic superhero uniform is bound to be one of the most exciting for fans.

Wonder Woman may have some of the most gorgeous superhero posters of all time. The first poster, revealed last summer, saw Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince standing amongst a cloudy blue sky and pluming orange smoke. Those same burnt orange and red hues make up the visuals of the latest poster for the upcoming DC movie.

When it comes to online movie polls, which ones do you think the public is usually most excited for: little indie pictures or huge superhero/sci-fi/fantasy blockbusters? Spoiler alert— it’s the blockbusters. Shocking, I know. In Fandango’s year-end poll of the most anticipated movies of 2017, Star Wars: Episode VIII, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the live-action Beauty and the Beast took the top spots.

Even without her lasso and gauntlets and sword, Wonder Woman is still plenty powerful — but those things sure do help, and they look cool as hell. Like, really cool. For the upcoming 75th anniversary of the character, Gadot talked a bit about her new movie and how director Patty Jenkins chose to tell a simple story.

DC's Trinity will return to television in an all-new animated series on the Cartoon Network for the first time since Justice League Unlimited went off the air in 2006. While Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman have made some animated appearances elsewhere, Justice League Action will reunite the three biggest heroes at DC Comics to star in their first weekly adventures in seven years. What's more, Kevin Conroy is coming back to the role that made him one of the biggest stars in DC and Warner Bros. film and television, Batman. Though he's frequently reprised the role over in the home video and video game realms, Conroy hasn't dabbled with the voice of Batman on a recurring series since JLU ended. The actors for Superman and Wonder Woman haven't been revealed as of yet, but I suppose we can all keep our fingers crossed for Tim Daly and Susan Eisenberg to make the dream team reunion a reality.

As Sundance dominated the news cycle this morning, the superhero hype machine continued to grind along. This morning, it spat out a new trailer for the upcoming DC crossover tentpole Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it just might be the darkest (in terms of deficient lighting and overall tone) yet. The eternal philosophical struggle of men both Bat- and Super- rages on, incapable of finally resolving because both Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne are inside all of us. Henry Cavill’s ridiculous costume glasses: What do they symbolize? Man’s inability to hide his true self, always exposing his nature through non-conscious gestures? Or perhaps they are just a symbol of bad glasses?
