Season’s first winter storm to impact northern Indiana this weekend.

-Keith Todd, Public Information Officer, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Highway crews across the 11 counties of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 2 plan to pre-treat area roadways in anticipation of a winter weather event with possible snow accumulation.  The long-range forecast indicates a significant chance of snow on Monday and Tuesday, with more possible later in the week.

Winter preparedness can save a lot of misery when the cold actually hits.  Let's check a few small things that can keep "old Betsy" firing up all winter long!

The Evansville area is bracing for its second winter storm within a month this weekend. With heavy snow entering the Tri-State Saturday night, followed by bitterly cold temperatures we haven't seen in nearly 20 years, it's important to make sure you and your family are prepared to handle whatever Mother Nature dishes out.
