‘Arrow’ Boss Teases ‘Dominators’ Four-Way Crossover Plan
Now that all four of The CW’s DC series have begun their fall seasons, fans of Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow are naturally looking for setup of the big four-way crossover in the coming months. We know DC’s alien Dominators will serve as the big bad, for which producer Marc Guggenheim teases their intent for the various Earths.
The One Where Hollywood Keeps Taking Lisa Kudrow for Granted
In the decade-plus that’s passed since the series ended, it’s become increasingly clear that Lisa Kudrow was the best actor on Friends. Maybe we were too preoccupied with Rachel’s hair and perfecting our Joey impressions to notice it then, but thanks to the generous gift of hindsight, it seems glaringly obvious now. Despite David Schwimmer’s excellent Juice-fueled turn on The People v. O.J. Simpson, and Jennifer Aniston’s typically solid and, sure, occasionally good roles, it’s Kudrow who has proven herself as the most consistently great actor of the bunch. Why, then, has Hollywood been neglecting her so much in recent years? Why are films like Neighbors and The Girl on the Train wasting her on nothing, throwaway roles with a maximum screen time of three minutes?
Daniel Radcliffe Wants a Beautiful Death on ‘Game of Thrones’
Even as Game of Thrones has already featured a number of famous faces from the Harry Potter cast over the years, the HBO fantasy-drama remains shy of casting anyone too distractingly recognizable. Daniel Radcliffe himself might even be a step too far, but the erstwhile Boy Who Lived is just as happy to get a brutal death in the world of Westeros.
Kathryn Hahn on ‘Transparent’ Season 3, Questioning Faith and How Jill Soloway Topples the Patriarchy On Set
Kathryn Hahn is a savior of sorts. Often the best part of her movies, Hahn’s the type of actress who can turn a small cameo into one of the most memorable and wackiest roles in a mediocre film (think: Tomorrowland, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Win a Date With Tad Hamilton). But in Jill Soloway’s Transparent, Hahn has played the literal role of the savior for the Pfeffermans, a woman introduced as a religious guide for a family thrown into flux by the gender transition of their former patriarch, Maura (Jeffrey Tambor).
