After weeks of speculation and input from several members of the community, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announced the finalized plan for a celebration to honor Evansville native and Olympic gold medalist, Lilly King, during a press conference Tuesday morning at Bosse Field.
Energize Evansville, the Winnecke Administration's program designed to get residents out of the house and active, will host their annual "7th Inning Stretch" yoga class at Bosse Field on September 24th beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The Evansville Otters will welcome home Evansville native and two-time Olympic gold medalist, Lilly King, with an appearance at Friday night's home game against the Southern Illinois Miners at Bosse Field.
One of the biggest gripes people from Evansville have is that there's nothing to do. As a native myself, I've certainly said that a time or ten. Maybe it's because we're too "inside the box." Meaning we can't step back and see what our city has to offer because we're too close. We're here every day, so the attractions we have are just another part of the landscape, like any random house
