On Monday I turned 40 years old. An age that for whatever reason is widely regarded as the beginning of a downward slide to the grave. Truth be told, I don't feel any different today than I did on Sunday when I was still in my 30's, but if I'm going to truly embrace the start of my death spiral, I guess I should start with a Mid-Life Crisis.

Gavin turned 29 today (February 8th), so with the help of our web queen, Ashley, we decided to surprise him with what every 29-year-old wants, a superhero-themed birthday cake from Piece of Cake Bakery in Evansville.

Well, I am officially another year older, and that means a few more life lessons under my belt. I thought I would share with you a few things I have learned in the last 12 months and 13 moons.

Today I turn 35. I'll be honest - I was dreading it, but it's turned out to be a pretty good day! I thought to celebrate I would give you 35 lessons that I have learned in life, as my birthday gift to you.

She can't be any more than 3 or 4 years old, but little Claire has a big birthday wish for her mommy. It is likely the sweetest thing you will see all day!

Selena Gomez partied like it was her birthday, or "berfday," this past week, because, well, it was. She's been celebrating the big 2-1 all week long. She is not doing so with her ex Justin Bieber -- they're not together -- but with her gal pals and family. What a crew!
