What started out as a week-long fundraiser has now morphed into an entire month for nonprofits. I still can't believe that the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival would have been next week. It doesn't feel like it should be October already, but at the same time, 2020 has been the longest year ever. We all know why we can't have our beloved festival, so I won't waste your time on that. Let's talk about something we can do to help some of the nonprofits raise money.

A few weeks ago, the Showplace Family Entertainment Center in Newburgh announced a give-back that would run during the week that would've been fall festival week. Now, they have upped that to a twenty-one day fundraising event. Every day of 'Octoberfest Games for Good', a different nonprofit will receive 10% of the entire day's sales from arcade games, laser tag, bowling, sales from the Burgh House, and any gift cards purchased.

Right before everything shut down, I invested in some bowling shoes, so maybe I'll actually try them out in October. Plus, the Burgh House has amazing gluten free pizza. It's not on the menu, but you can ask for it.
