After months of radio silence, it looks like we’re finally going to get to see a little more of the next episode in the Star Wars saga. Yesterday, we had that sweet title reveal (along with some troubling Sith red in the logo…), and today director Rian Johnson shared a photo from the editing bay, where he and his crew are hard at work putting the finishing touches on The Last Jedi.

Johnson posted the behind-the-scenes photo on his Instagram.

Just casually dropping in the most recognizable opening crawl in film history.

And it looks like he got some help in the form of a familiar friendly droid. I wonder how skilled R2 is at FinalCut Pro?

Lucasfilm is notoriously secretive when it comes to any and all details about their movies. We won’t know anything about the next episode unless they want us to. If Johnson is just putting the title card into the cut today, does this mean even he didn’t know what the title was? The stars didn’t know the title of their own movie as recently as last fall, so it could be that Lucasfilm kept the name a secret from everyone right up until the last moment.

So it sounds like The Last Jedi is well on its way to completion, if this photo is any indication. With the film scheduled to open this December, Johnson has plenty of time, and hopefully he won’t have to resort to any big Rogue One-esque reshoots to fix any plotholes. By this time two years ago we had a teaser for The Force Awakens. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a trailer for the new episode soon.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in theaters December 15.
