This year is the 11th anniversary of the 911 Gives Hope For the Holidays Toy Drive. We have grown from the idea of collecting toys for kids in the hospital over the holidays, to being able to provide a toy for every child that is admitted into the hospital all year long. The only way we are able to do this is with the extreme generosity and giving spirit of the Tristate.

It never ceases to amaze me just how caring the people in our community are, even our young people. One young man, in particular, is not only already running his own business while attending Reitz High School, but has a heart of gold to go along with it.

Noah Nellis, a senior at Reitz High School, started his own lawn service a couple years ago, Nellis Lawn Care Service. He contacted the 911 Gives Hope Board about helping with the toy drive this weekend. The toy drive is held at the Evansville's east side Wal-Mart and the Henderson. KY, Walmart. So Noah decided to collect toys at the west side Walmart. Take a look at the incredible donation of toys.

All of us, including our Evansville Police Chief, Billy Bolin, are so impressed with this young man. As a senior in high school, he is already a business man and, without a doubt, a future leader of our city.

Noah is going to be out at the westside Walmart collecting toys TODAY too. Stop by and see him to make a toy donation.

Thank you so much, Noah.

The 911 Gives Hope For the Holidays Toy Drive is going on now through 6pm tonight (Sun, Dec. 8th) at the Eastside Walmart.
