Registration Open for 2020 Wesselman Woods Summer Camp
Summer feels like it's still so far away, but it will, as they say, be here before we know it. Which means you need to start thinking about how to keep your kids occupied once school lets out for the year. Fortunately, Wesselman Woods is here to help with their annual summer camps.
The weekly camps begin June 1st and run through July 24th, each centered around being outdoors and incorporating what the nature preserve has to offer into fun learning activities. For example, the Discovery Camp during week three will give your kid the opportunity to "discover what it's like to be a scientist as they explore different fields of science through hands on experiments, nature games, animal encounters, and outdoor hikes." While the animal lovers may be more excited about week five where they'll "learn about local mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and insects through up close encounters, hands on projects, books, nature games, and hikes."
The camps are open to kids between the ages of 6 and 13 depending on the week, but if you have one younger than that you think would also like to explore the great outdoors of the nature preserve, Wesselman's also offers mini-camps for kids between the ages of 4 and 6.
If you can't even think about summer yet, because you're not even sure how you're going to keep them busy during Spring Break, Wesselman's has you covered there too with a week long Spring Break camp for kids between 5 and 11.
