Friday night, I went downtown for the Standing Up for Racial Justice, Peace and Reconciliation rally.   Hundreds and hundreds of people attended the event to show solidarity and rally for peace.  My friend Kim Jagoe was there supporting the cause and she took some amazing photos that really document the soaring spirit of the event.

The rally was organized and presented by the local NAACP chapter, Owensboro Black Expo and two neighborhood alliances- the Northwest Neighborhood Alliance and the Dugan Best Neighborhood Alliance.
