It looks like we won't be hitting the peaks at Paoli anytime soon.

I've been itching to get back on my snowboard for the last two summers, and it looks like I might have to wait even longer now. I was psyched when I saw Paoli was pumpin' out the powder a couple weeks back. Take a look at all this glory:

Well, it was short lived because shortly after that, temperatures started to rise. On Christmas Day we experienced a near record high of 66 degrees. The highest Christmas Day temp on record is 68. I probably don't have to do the math for you but 66 degrees + snow = ...water. With that being said, Paoli Peaks has announced they will be suspending operations due to the unseasonably warm weather we've experienced lately.

According to a 14 News report, Paoli Peaks will be suspending operations beginning Thursday, December 26 until they have the opportunity to make additional snow to resume operations.

There is no word on when the park will reopen, but hopefully (or not, depending on who you are) the chillier weather will return soon.
