It's so disheartening when you hear residents say that there's never anything to do in Owensboro. I just look around and shake my head. All of the beautiful parks for the kids to play at in every corner of the city, Friday After 5, museums, the Owensboro Riverfront, free music on Saturday, and more. We're so blessed that we have all that we do. I talk to people who visit from other towns and they're impressed with all that we offer. Now, we have another FREE event to enjoy!

Independence Bank Fireworks Festival

Save the date because on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 a big ole' party is planned at Panther Creek Park in Daviess County. Celebrate the end of summer with delicious food vendors, inflatables, pony rides, live music, and of course, FIREWORKS. Bring your appetite, your dancing shoes, a lawn chair, and the entire family for an evening of entertainment. The event starts at 5 PM with fireworks at dawn (around 8:15 PM). They're requesting no dogs or alcohol at the park during the celebration.

Thank you to Independence Bank, Daviess County Parks & Recreation, and Daviess County Fiscal Court for bringing this FREE Independence Bank Fireworks Festival to the community!
