Difference Between an Amber Alert & a Silver Alert
Amber Alerts and Silver Alerts are both used to share information about a missing person, but what's the difference? In Indiana, both an Amber Alert and a Silver Alert can be used for a missing child. However, an Amber Alert is used when it is believed the child has been abducted and authorities must include details about a potential suspect and a vehicle. A Silver Alert is issued for both adults and children who are believed to be missing or endangered.
