The coronavirus quarantine continues to inspire people in some brilliantly creative ways. If you're stuck at home and you want to create something that might just be the next viral sensation, my suggestion is to stick with what you know. If you're a musician, maybe create a fun parody song. Are you a video whiz? Maybe you shoot some footage around your house and include some cool special FX. If you're skilled in the kitchen we'd all love to see some of your favorite recipes and kitchen hacks.

But what if you're an artist? How do you show off those skills in a creative way? Well, in this case, you use the tools of your trade to share an important and timely message. One artist did just that by arranging a specific group of book titles to spell out a message encouraging people to stay at home.

Here's what is says...

The English patient had it on the beach. "I should have stayed home" she said. Now she is in quarantine in the dark house of splendid isolation. Still, hope springs eternal. With a little bit of luck, common sense, and personal hygiene, the corona book of horror stories must end soon. Always remember, clean hands save lives, and when in doubt, DON'T...GO...OUT!

It was done by the artist Phil Shaw who has created these installation pieces using book titles before. This one is titled Shelf isolation 2 - the story so far... Though it doesn't have a name, maybe this is Shelf isolation 1?

Shaw is represented by the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery. According to the gallery's page, "Shaw's work stems from what he describes as: 'Questions relating to what we believe, what we think we believe and what we are told to believe. Probably as a result of a strict fundamentalist upbringing, I have always been troubled by the possibility that things may not be what they appear to be and certainly not what they are said to be. As a result, I see most beliefs (even scientific ones) as a form of dogma. And I enjoy poking fun at dogma - wherever it lurks. The book titles are all absolutely genuine (with the exception of the Fiction and Friction series). I wouldn't have done the prints otherwise. They all appear in the British Library Catalogue.'

Yeah, I could never, ever, ever do something like that. My knowledge of books (or lack thereof) is downright embarrassing. It's a different story all together if you're talking about song titles though - that's my wheelhouse!

What are you good at? Do you have a special set of skills (NOT like Liam Neeson)? Give it some thought and see if you can come up with something fun and creative to share with the world - you definitely have our attention right now!
