Spring Clean Your Make-Up and Help Wildlife with the Wands for Wildlife® Wandraiser!
Spring is almost here and if you are anything like me, you are ready for some spring cleaning! You might be thinking many things need cleaning, but this one is for a great cause!
Most of the time when we think cleaning season, we think the house, cars, closets, etc. In this case, we are talking make up. You know those old mascara's you throw away? Well, don't! Those can be life savers to small animals.
You are probably thinking, what in the world does my mascara have to do with animals. No, we are not talking about make up testing so I am going to stop you right there. I am talking about cleaning an endangered animal. Appalachian Wildlife Refuge in North Carolina runs on donations and one in particular is the mascara! Who would have thought an animal rescue needs mascara? This one does. But you can throw away one half of the mascara. They just need the wands! The wands are used to help clean fly and larva eggs from small furry animals!
Before mailing, wash wands in warm soapy water to remove residual mascara. Mail form, old wands & donations to: P.O. Box 1211, Skyland, NC 28776.
