We are fortunate to live in an area with plenty of Christmastime events to partake in. The only problem is making time on the calendar for all of them. There is an amazing walk-through event in Newburgh, Indiana that your family will love, plus home tours, and a light parade.
Newburgh Holiday Light Parade
Up first, Historic Newburgh is hosting the 2nd annual Holiday Light Parade is Sunday, December 1 at 6 pm. It was lit last year, and this year's parade has even more entries.
Newburgh Winter Lights Presented by Diamond Valley Federal Credit Union
This will be the fifth year for the Historic Newburgh Winter Lights event, and this year promises to be the brightest yet! It will really get you into the holiday spirit.
You and your family will have several opportunities to explore the wonderous lights along the Rivertown Trail from the Aurand Trailhead, across the red bridge, through the woods, and out onto the overlook.
Location: Newburgh Winterlights starts at the Gene Aurand Trailhead which is located across the street from Mother Theresa's Treasures at the corner of SR 662 and Yorkshire Dr in Newburgh, IN.
December 5-8 and December 12-15
Tickets are $5 per person, children 2 and under are free, or you can choose the $20/family ticket. You can walk through any time between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

Newburgh Celebrates Christmas - Saturday, December 7
Trolley rides, photo ops with Santa and the Grinch, food trucks, local shopping, gingerbread houses, and vendors showcasing their holiday wares (in and around Preservation Hall).
