GRADSA stands for the Green River Area Down Syndrome Association. Located in Owensboro, this non-profit organization reaches all of the Green River Area serving around 300 families, educators, and professionals in Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, Hopkins, Breckinridge, Muhlenberg, and Webster counties.

They provide activities for individuals with Down Syndrome to socialize and have some fun like the Drums Alive drum squad, Art Club, Book Club, and the fabulous performers on the Dance Team.

Well, this Star Squad dance team can PERFORM. After winning Owensboro Dance Theatre's Dance Extravaganza, they were encouraged to share their talents and excitement with the world. After submitting a video to the producers of America's Got Talent, yeah you know that huge national television show, they qualified to move on to the virtual audition round!

Executive Director Britt Cobb shared that the dancers and team are getting really excited, "GRADSA feels so grateful for the opportunity to be included in the auditions for America's Got Talent.  We know that we belong everywhere, always and we are happy to see a national television show that wants to promote diversity and inclusion.  Our coaches, parents, and dancers deserve all the love and well wishes our community can send our way! Stay tuned to follow our glorious journey on stage!"

So, tonight at Owensboro Christian Church, they will be masters of the ring as they bring to life The Greatest Showman routine. Look at this incredible stage they have to work with! Featuring the song This is Me from the movie, it's going to be absolutely magical with the dancers in their circus costumes. That song always gives me goosebumps!
