Immerse Yourself in Terror at This Unique KY Haunted House
We are now inside the final 10 days before Halloween, and there are still tons of terrifying experiences to be had. In western Kentucky, look no further than Henderson Haunts, a truly unique immersive experience.
Henderson Haunts specializes in haunted house entertainment, and in 2024, guests will "immerse" themselves in the horror of "RECKONING: a Story of Torment." The company's Josh Wilhite had been entertaining family and friends for years, and then, in 2021, his garage became the first official Henderson Haunts. In each of the next two Spooky Seasons, Wilhite upped his game in the hope that he would, one day, welcome thrill seekers into his first commercialized haunted house, and it has now finally happened.
And what a twist on the haunted house concept. According to WEVV-Evansville, what we're looking at here is the interactive story of a patient--known only as "Patient H." Guests will essentially be walking through a "found footage" horror story, one that is already being adapted into a book by Brian Sumner called The Secrets of Dr. Killiecrankie.
I visited the Henderson Haunts Instagram where I discovered more interactive fiction sure to terrify all visitors. Get a load of the tale of Tranquil Meadows, if you dare.
The Wilhites have created quite a unique experience for the tri-state. Henderson Haunts should make it onto anyone's list of attractions for this final stretch before Halloween.
And considering the fact you'll be immersing yourself in what amounts to a horror story--and a very realistic one at that--won't YOU have a terrifying story to tell?
